WHAT YOU MISSED

I'M BAAAAACK!!! YAAAAY (please don't kill me). I'm so sorry for abandoning this blog for nearly a month. ( not really abandon… more like a break from blogging. Yeah.) Oh c'mon! You know I love you all *less than three* and I will never abandon this ridiculous fabulous blog of mine. Besides, the only reason behind my unplanned 'break' is our stupid internet connection *insert mumbo jumbo here*.
So I've been out and about for the past three weeks (#medyobusy #medyolang) because of the different 'events' (#chos #hashtaglahat) and I'll try to narrate everything in this post (note: TRY).
Event numéro uno: On the spot painting contest. About fifteen Assumption learners from grade school and high school were asked to join Museo Ilolilo's painting contest with the theme: "Hablon". The day before the event, I decided to do a last minute shopping for my art supplies. I bought the cheapest set of acrylic paint since I thought, "Hey, I'm not going to win anyway" so yeah. The main reason why I wanted to join the contest was because I wanted to skip class. (HAHAHA!)
I went to school early in the morning then walked from Assumption to Museo Iloilo… alone.
This was actually my second on the spot painting contest. The last time I joined was waaay back in first year. It was pretty hard to pick an area since all the good spots were taken. We didn't want to sit on the parking lot because ew. Fortunately, we were allowed to paint inside the air-conditioned Capitol. Did I mention that it was air-conditioned? Sometimes, it's good to be late.
We were given an hour to prepare and relax. Ge and Gell went up the CR to fetch a pail of water YAAAY! Haahahahaha no? Okay. Five minutes before the contest, I noticed that everyone had a draft of their work… except me. HAHAHA! I only had a reference photo of hablon and that's it! I decided to wing it instead. I sorta panicked since we had to paint it on a 1 whole illustration board (#medyomalaki #medyolang)
We were only given three hours and I was one of the few who passed late. There were more than a hundred (nearly 300 jk IDK) who joined so it was quite impossible to win, knowing that there were much more talented 12-16 year old artists.
HAHAHA I WON 2ND PLACE IN CATEGORY 3 (12-16 Y/O) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (photo above) Not so impossible, I guess? LOL sheer luck :))
Category 1 winners (5-8 Y/O)
Category 2 winners (9-11 Y/O)
Category 3 winners (12-16 Y/O)
1st place: upper left (Iloilo National High School)
2nd place: bottom (Assumption Iloilo)
3rd place: upper right (Dingle National High School)
Yes, I'm Gerone Marie Laquian from Palanguia National High School HAHAHAHAHA no. They would return my painting so I asked dad to buy it :)) they said he can't since it was theirs to keep :((

Event numéro dos: On the spot painting contest. Yes, another one. The venue was in Robinson's Iloilo and the theme was "Gaganda ang buhay sa sariling bahay". I was excused for the whole day (YAAAY! NO CLASS!) but I was alone. The rule stated that there must only be one representative per school. I was a loner for a day.
There were only 26 contestants and we were introduced one by one (they called me a "he" -_- ). I heard two familiar names. The champion and third placer from Museo Iloilo's contest were there as well (yikes!). We were given 6 hours to paint on a 1/4 illustration board. I was listening to music while painting since I was so lonely. Good thing mom was there to check up on me (Hi mom!)
A lot of people were staring at us while were painting which didn't help in making me feel better at all. Some (including this other contestant) even asked if they could take a picture of my painting .(#choskaros) Long story short, I didn't win. It turns out that it was a poster making contest and not a painting making contest (there's a difference). Oh well! At least a lady told me that she liked my painting and wanted to buy it (huge hair flip moment). The champion from Museo's contest was the champion in this contest too. HAHAHAHA WAW! JUST WAW!
Event # 3: Free clinic. This is the point where the pictures will do the talking bc I'm tired *waves the white flag*.
AWWW CUTIEEEE! ♥♥♥
Event # 4: Open house
And the visitor of the year award goes to *drum roll* KIRSTIE ARENO!!!
