Ni Hao! HA! That's probably the only Chinese phrase I know but, yeah! I tried. Now, I know what you're thinking. Yes, this entry is approximately a month late but heck! I'm still posting it anyway. So... let's get started!
We spent our first day in China walking around Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City which, by the way, is not so forbidden after all (that was actually a joke... ugh. Carry on.)
Can we just all stop for a second and appreciate this shot? I call this one "An extremely photogenic temple" What? Too much?
Some of you may have seen these golden doornails from Karate Kid. Remember that scene where they were rubbing those golden buttons "fo lack" ? -- for luck (that's how the chick said it in the movie... I'm not tryna' be racist here).
We went to the Great wall of China the next day. We were excited because, well, it's THE Great Wall of China!
Well, this is quite an irrelevant photo. Carry on.
We (my sister and I) almost reached the third tower. Almost. Proud moment indeed (hahaha).
Oh! We also went to the Olympic Village and the Bird's Nest Stadium. Yay.
We dropped by a tea house on our third day in Beijing. All I remembered was my mom saying "No no no! Slimming tea! Slimming tea!" True story.
We also visited the Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. Ironically, it was raining really hard when we got to the Summer Palace.
Notice the matchy-matchy umbrellas?
We spent the rest of the afternoon for shopping and food tripping.
These vanilla mochi ice creams are to die for. It's like you're eating a cloud of some sort.
Peking duck in Peking. I posted this on Instagram. It's good but I'm not a fan of it. Ehehe.
