PRISAA 2012

I don't really have to go in detail but PRISAA is this event (IDK) wherein different schools go against each other in sports or in Lit Mus. We first had this parade from WVSU going to Sports Complex. It wasn't that exciting since we just had to walk. But what I like about Sports Complex is that there are food stalls in every corner. You would go nuts over nuts! (Seriously, nut vendors everywhere!)
1. Court number two of Sports Complex 2. A kid who's family name's 'Wanky' , ADORABLE! 3. AC's football team 4. Erl executing counter-drop |
The grade school had their tournament first. My brother played singles but lost on his second game :( . We, the HS learners, didn't do anything but cheer, eat , sleep and rally all day long.
1. Maybelline 2. Court 3 (our 'lucky court' ) |
It was our turn the next day. Butterflies in our stomachs, sweaty hands, paleness of lips, all signs of anxiety. We did some warm ups and some foot works before going to SC. We had to wait for the schedule and we laughed so hard when we saw this.
1. *Juada Shannon Gail , Saquian Gerone Marie 2. *Belmonte Jillian Maxine 3. *Oquendo Millie Margaret 4. What I did to Manang M's hair, a pretty bow! |
We just waited and waited until the announcer called for ng Millie. It was AC's first game against ADI. Ng M was so pale and kept biting her lips so that we won't notice. Who did she go against with? Andrea, Andrea Burgos. That little girl from AC. My fellow munchkin. But I tell you, she grew! No more name calling :( .
1. There she is! Andy Burgos (I'm taller than her BTW) 2. Such a stalker 3. she's on to us! 4. She looks tall because she's on top of a feaking table |
Manang M didn't win but she sure is great at playing badminton. Then came Nong AJ's game, he went against this dude from ICCHS, he's pretty good (nong AJ didn't win either). Manang Jill played next and sad to say, she didn't win. We ate lunch and waited for the doubles.
1. Nong AJ, Ng M, Ng Krizianne 2. Ng Jill 3. he smiled! He actually smiled!!!! 4. That's me |
The doubles event started after lunch and I was so nervous. I didn't talk to much but played a bit with Manang Shannon to ease myself. Our boys doubles had their game. AC vs ADI (again -_- tough luck). Well, they lost.
We waited for hours and still no sign of girls doubles. It was about 5 in the afternoon when they announced our names to proceed to court no. 3. We played against USA and we won (thank goodness). We had another game but with ISA and we lost. But our trainer said it was fine since we had sure Bronze. We went home with big smiles on our faces.
1. players form USA 2. ADI vs AC 3. Erl's racket 4. Coke ..... I know what you're thinking but no. It's not for us to drink but for us to step on (since the court is kinda slippery) |
1. Erl and our ever supportive trainer, Ma'am Anne 2. Erl and Manang Angela 3. Erl, our official Gatorade boy |
I will definitely miss this. I will miss our new friends from different schools, the free food, the free drinks, the free court, the pancakes , the free shuttlecocks, our training, Ma'am Anne's Words of wisdom and our graduating players. This is definitely a PRISAA to remember :')
