TRAVEL 101: CARRY ON VANITY KIT

Another 'Travel 101' for all you jet-setters out there. I already mentioned that most of the items you bring on board are 'potentially illegal' or 'potentially deadly' but c'mon! We all know that a tube of toothpaste or a bottle of perfume can't kill anybody, right? (maaaaaaaybe). BUT! Safety first *sighs*. Here are a few 'pampering essentials' that I usually bring when I travel.
- The vanity bag itself -- Just remember... 'The triple S.' Spacious, sturdy and stylish.
- Wet wipes -- You should never leave the house without a couple of these. I used 'em a lot during my trip to 'Murica (lol USA). I would often wipe my face when I wake up or when dinner/breakfast is being served (while on board) or before we get off the plane (since 'twas impossible to wash your face while on the plane). It's simply refreshing.
- A small perfume bottle -- I bought this atomizer from Etude House. I bought this ages ago. I'm not sure if they still sell this type of atomizer. Atomizers are very handy since they're small and could last for the whole trip (very travel friendly). If you have sample bottles of your favorite scent, it's also convenient. Just a couple of sample bottles and you're good to go.
- Tissue paper -- Yes. You'll need these. I mostly used mine for gum. Yes, gum (only when I don't spot a nearest trash bin). Yeah.
- A toothbrush -- I would brush my teeth every after mealtime while airborne. I would also brush when at the airport (when we change planes). Brushing your teeth in public is quite awkward though.
- Toothpaste -- Yes. Toothpaste.
- Bandages -- Just in case.
- Hand sanitizer-- All the doorknobs , touchscreen TV's and hand rests that you touch. ECK. Imagine all the germs that stick to them.
- Lip balm -- My lips get dry and chapped whenever I travel. Licking them makes it worse. You'll REALLY need lip balm to moisturize your lips.
- Hairbrush -- I usually fix my hair before we get off the plane. Don't expect to look all pretty when traveling. I SWEAR. I ALWAYS look like a zombie. Red eyes, frizzy hair and eyebags. Brushing your hair really helps (at least you'd look like a zombie with nice hair. Ahehe?)
- Clips and grips -- Try different up-do hairstyles . Why up-do? Because you're on a plane. Not on a runway. And yes, you'll need clips and grips.
- Oil blotter-- Your face will get oily and it's normal. You'll need to blot your face. You don't want to look like a greasy frying pan. It ain't cute.
That's pretty much it. Bon voyage. Au revoir. What evoir (get it? WHATEVER? HAHAHAHA). Okay.
XO, The Gerone Saquian
