I'M BAAAACK!!!! The Gerone Saquian is not dead, everybody! WOW! It's been a long time huh? I MISS BLOGGING *cue tears*. Well anyway... We've got a lot of catching up to do... soooo... Let's get started, shall we?
It's summer (well... last few WEEKS of summer --technically speaking) and I know most of you are going (or went ) on a trip. If you're airborne, then this post might help you (since most of the stuff you bring ARE potentially ILLEGAL). Do you know how sad it is to get your stuff confiscated by a total stranger? It's sad, that's for sure. I don't want you guys to experience that. That's why I'm HELPING you out (sorta).
Usual airlines would allow each passenger to have one carry on suitcase and a personal bag.
The carry on handbag/ bag: When choosing a handbag, it is best that you go for the ones with zipper. Why? So that you won't "accidentally" lose your stuff. Trust me. Unzipped bags are a snatcher's dream come true. You don't want 'em to be all "OH YEAH!" while you go "OH NO!" It is also better if you choose a bag that is made of sturdy but light material.
- Socks -- It's normal when your feet get cold when you're on the plane. Socks are a big help. Flats and socks don't go well. It looks a bit silly but who cares?
- Instant Camera -- Nothing beats the good 'ol instant cam. You could keep memories in your pocket in just one click.
- Films -- What's the use of bringing an instant camera if you don't have films with you?
- Digital Camera -- Now THIS is what I call an essential. It's quite fun to keep photos but why not share em? Digital cameras are handy especially if you're a social media- junkie (like me!).
- Wallet -- Common sense! You need this for your money, duh!
- Lip balm -- It's a must that you bring lip balm when you're on a plane. Your lips tend to get really dry and chapped. Applying lip balm helps moisturize your lips.
- Vanity Kit -- When choosing a vanity kit, you might want to go for the 'travel friendly ones'. I'm talking about the triple S. Spacious, sturdy and stylish. What's inside of it, you ask? I dunno *wenk wenk* LOL kidding. I'm going to have a separate post on that.
- Hair brush -- Don't you just hate it when your hair is all over the place? My hair usually gets frizzy when I'm on the plane. I suggest that you tie your hair instead. Aaaaand you'll need a brush for that.
- Clips and grips -- Aaaaand you'll need some of these as well. I usually bring 2 hair grips and um... 5 clips. My hair's short, okay?
- iPod -- Any music junkie out there? I know most airlines have those built-in screens with movies of your choice (I watched 5 movies in one sitting... on a plane... while eating. BEAT THAT!) but what if you get bored of watching and your eyes get red all of a sudden? (do not watch too much movies while airborne. Don't.) Welp. Listen to music! Indie, Alternative, Jazz, Pop, Bossa nova, psssh whatever! It's also handy when your iPod (or iPhone -- whatever) has camera. You could take pictures and post 'em online. Yay.
- Earphones -- It's sweet how airlines give you headphones / earphones... but no. They hurt your ears like WOAH. It's still better for you to bring your personal earphones.
- Scarf -- It doubles as a blanket. COOL!
- Journal and pencils -- I usually doodle when I'm bored. People would doodle using their tablets but I still prefer the good 'ol paper and pen.
That's a wrap! Be sure to double check your list when packing. Bon voyage!
XO, The Gerone Saquian
