Hello hello! I am back with another blog entry for you who are *still* out there reading my blog.  I'm so pumped about this entry of mine since I will be sharing to you my summer playlist *yaaay*. I hope it's not too late for me to share this. I mean, it's still summertime, right? Yup!

I have carefully chosen some songs (chos!) to feature in this blog. There are tons of songs that I like but, I think these ones are the best (IMHO). There's actually a challenge for me here. What is that challenge, you ask? Well, I have purposely excluded Coldplay songs for this post. Yes! I just did that. *Pats back* So proud of myself. I figured that since I've written a looong entry about them, it's best to lie-low a tad bit. So yes, here it goes! (Click the song title for the direct link.)

1. Singing low by The Fray - This song just radiates the chillest vibes. I could imagine myself stargazing to this song. Catchy. Very catchy. I caught myself singing this during an exam. Dammit.
favorite line: Please don't speak, my heart is havin' trouble. With the beat, beat, beat, so try to take it slow.

2. Thunder by Imagine Dragons -  Imagine Dragons, you've done it again. If you're looking for a great workout song, here it is. The music video is very ,um, strange.  Ahhh I can't wait for more  ID songs. Believer and Whatever It Takes are superb as well.
favorite line: Not a yes sir, not a follower.

3. Keep Me Crazy by Sheppard - I can't choose between this or its acoustic version. I love them both so much.
favorite line:  Cheap wine, head spins, start to fall. Lights down, heart wins, shake it all.

4. Madness by Muse - My dad loves playing this in the car. I get why. Now I can't stop playing this too. The guitar solo always leaves me speechless.
favorite line: Yes I know I can be wrong and maybe you're too headstrong.

1. My Type by Saint Motel - The saxophone intro of this song is really something else. Wow. I could just picture out a movie scene using this song.
favorite line:  You-you-you're just my type. Oh, you got a pulse and you are breathing

2. Angela by The Lumineers - Makes me wish my name was Angela. Haaay.
favorite line: Did you hear the notes, all those static codes in the radio abyss?

3. Wish I Knew You by The Revivalists - I love the jazz undertones of this song. The bassline is on point. The trumpet part gets me every. single. time.
favorite line: She's hot, hot like the sun. The loneliest one. Still everything beautiful

4. Smile by The Royal Concept -  You know what attracts me? Killer intros. This song right here has it.
favorite line:  Still asking for your number while we're reading your blog  (Ooooh)

1. Homesick by Dua Lipa - This just recently got out and I am in love with it already. The piano playing in this song is too beautiful for me. It sounds a lot like Everglow. I wonder why. Oh yeah, 'tis a collaboration with Coldplay's Chris Martin. Very emotional song, right here. I LOVE IT!
favorite line: You give me a reason, something to believe in. I know, I know, I know

2. Wild Things by Alessia Cara - Wild Things is so carefree! Lyrics = perfect. Alessia Cara, you genius!
favorite line: Find you're great, don't you hide your face. Let it shine, shine, shine, shine, shine, shine

3. Water Under The Bridge by Adele - Adele, everybody. Need I say more?
favorite line: If you're gonna let me down, let me down gently

4. Get Down by Jess Kent -  This is the first ever song that I've heard from Jess Kent and I've been listening to it since then. It's so catchy. I'm trying my best to memorize the fast part.
favorite line: Our feet on the dashboard, we're not posh. Got a lot of friends, but I don't got a lot of dosh

1. Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay - Technically, this is not a Coldplay song. Maybe it is but, still... it has The Chainsmokers in it. I really like the part near the ending when the band comes in. You could really hear Jonny's guitar riff. Good collab, guys.
favorite line: I've been reading books of old. The legends and the myths. The testaments they told. The moon and its eclipse.

2. Girl at Coachella by Matoma, MAGIC! ft. D.R.A.M. -  Very chill song right here. A+ for that head-bobbing-worthy rhythm.
favorite line:  The time we had was something from a dream. 'Til reality kicked in.

3. Bass So Low by Jess Kent - I personally think that Jess Kent could just be the next big thing. Please listen to her songs. They are amazing.
favorite line:  Lean in fast, girl I bring the house down. Bop to the sound of the underground

4. Symphony ft. Zara Larsson by Clean Bandit - Trying to hit those high notes is such a hassle. Why am I not good at singing?
favorite line:  And now your song is on repeat and I’m dancin' on to your heartbeat

1. Africa by Toto - This is an absolute classic. My brother and I belt this out all the time. WE LOVE IT!!! Our parents think we're weird because we still like it even though "it's old". *IT'S GOLD, duh!
favorite line: As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti

2. Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry - It's Berry Goode, alright. HAHA! Haaaay I love the guitar playing here.
favorite line: Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made. People passing by they would stop and say "Oh my that little country boy could play"

3. Heroes by David Bowie - David Bowie is such a babe. Luv him.
favorite line: I, I wish you could swim. Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim

4. Nothing Compares 2 U by Prince - Such a dramatic song. I wish to hear it live. But can't.
favorite line: It's been seven hours and fifteen days since you took your love away

1. Open Road by The Ransom Collective - I really thought this song was by some foreigner/s. Turns out TRC is a Filipino band... um... HOW FREAKING AMAZING IS THAAAT?!?!? Mabuhay po kayo woooh!!!
favorite line:  Used to the summer days and to the starry nights

2. Run Run by Leanne and Naara - The Filipino Duo just dropped their new song and I am a fan of it. Fun fact: Leanne used to be a schoolmate of mine in High school. OMG. #TheMoreYouKnow
favorite line: Why do we always run from the ones that we love?

3. Images by The Ranson Collective - The violin part is so cool! Long live local huhuhuhu.
favorite line: The colors is fading and the paint has chipped on that old house where we once lived

4. Again by Leanne and Naara - This is the first song they released and it's my favorite. Such a chill song. I think they're very cool. They also make covers huhuhu keep 'em coming pls.
favorite line: This isn't a love song. No, it's more like a plea

1. Magic Dance from Labyrinth  - I've been watching this movie over the summer just trying to memorize the lyrics to all the songs. If you've watched this before, can we meet up? You know, just to make sure that I'm not the only weirdo who's attracted to Jareth, David Bowie's character. This is my favorite song/scene from the movie because David Bowie's awkward dancing gives me life. HAHAHA. And the song is weirdly wonderful.
favorite line: You remind me of the babe (what babe?) the babe with the power (what power?) power of voodoo (Who do?) you do (do what?) remind me of the babe.

2. City of Stars from La La Land - My mom and I love La La Land so much. All the songs are *magical*. Ryan Gosling playing the piano? Too much for me to handle.
favorite line:  A look in somebody's eyes, to light up the skies, to open the world and send it reeling. A voice that says, I'll be here and you'll be alright

3. Last Night Of The World from Miss Saigon - Miss Saigon is such an underrated musical. Truly our very own, Miss Lea Salonga's performance in this musical is impeccable. This song is probably the second most lovey-dovey song from the soundtrack. My favorite version of this song is sung by Lea Salonga and Will Chase. HUHUUHU see for yourself.
favorite line: A crazy sound, a lonely sound . A cry that tells us love goes on and on
played on a solo saxophone

4. Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory -  Such an emotional song from such a hilarious film. It is iconic. Gene Wilder delivered it so flawlessly. Makes me want to see the movie again.

Thanks for reading!
