Venezia and Milano

We rode a train going to Venice and we were not loving the weather (bummer). It was gloomy and drizzling. I was so excited to go there since the place seemed beautiful (in postcards, that is). I was kind of disappointed since we were soaked (literally) and we didn't get to have that much pictures since it was raining cats and dogs.

We rode this boat going to the Grand canal. We saw lots of beautiful buildings while riding the boat and we passed under the Rialto bridge.

We got down at the next stop. We had to walk under the pouring rain. It was horrible and it ruined our trip. My sweater was too thin so I had to put on my jacket. The weather ruined my outfit. I was going for this "Gondola rower" look.

I just took I few photos since the camera's lens was starting to get foggy. We had umbrellas but we were still wet. Our shoes were wet and our toes felt cold. We didn't ride the gondola since it was pouring :(
We had lunch and ordered pizza and pasta. Good thing the restaurant was warm and cozy.

The streets were narrow and people kept hitting me with their umbrellas. We visited a few stores before leaving the place. Mom bought me a new stamp for my wax seal :D.  I love Venice, but the weather ruined its beauty.

We rode another train going to Milan. We arrived in Milan about 8:00 in the evening. Our clothes were still wet and it was cold. We were freezing, literally. Good thing our hotel was near the train station.

We left the hotel early to get some tickets for the "Hop-on -Hop-off".

The tour was great. They gave us earphones so we could listen to some facts while taking pictures. We saved a lot of time, money and energy. We were sitting and learning at the same time (like in class but less boring).

We saw the church where the "Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci can be found (1st frame).  We also saw these abandoned boats that are now "floating" restaurants (3rd frame). It was Easter Sunday that time so we had to hear mass. We had mass at this church (forgot the name, hihihi *9th frame*). The mass was in Italian so we had no clue what the priest was saying. Well, there were some parts that we were a bit familiar with so we just responded in English.

After the mass, we went around looking for a good restaurant.

We had lunch at this restaurant called "Rossopomodoro". They have pomodoro (tomato) pizza and pasta. I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes but their pasta was good.

We had Grom gelato for dessert and it was delish! The guy serving us was a Filipino (double thumbs up) and he looked like Bruno Mars (triple thumbs up!). I had mine in caramel.

We went to this park near the bus stop and picked daisies.

We rode another bus going to the "Duomo Milano". The skies were so blue and the weather was perfect! The Duomo was beautiful!

We played with our pigeon friends before entering the Duomo. Went to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a shopping center near the Duomo. Most of the shops were closed except for a few like Mango and Zara since it was Easter Sunday.

We rode another bus and finished the whole tour of Milan instead.

Ciao!
